EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  

  • Applicant must have knowledge of Federal, State, Tribal Law, Rules, Regulation and guidelines related to custodial operations.
  • Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of custodian equipment preventative maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of  enviromental protection regulations and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of utilizing of custodial equipment and tools
  • Knowledge of custodial cleaning methods, practices and procedures.
  • Skills in prioritizing, coordinating, scheduling, assigning, reviewing and evaluating work.
  • Skills in following verbal and written communication in development of service training, report and instruction.
  • Skills in utilizing health safety, environmental policies, practice and procedures.
  • Skills in safely cleaning, disinfecting building and facilities.
  • Skills in following verbal and written directions.

Position: Maintenance Technician

EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED; and two (2) years of progressively responsible heavy equipment operation, general constructon and maintenance experience. MUST have certification for Heavy Equipment Operator.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, Tribal Law, Rules, Regulation and guidelines related to custodial operations.
  • Knowledge of occupational safety, health regulations and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and hauling methods, practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of enviromental protection regulations and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of sources of supervsiory and/or lead methods and practices
  • Knowledge of estimation of goods, material, and time necessary to complete projects.
  • Skills in prioritizing, coordinating, scheduling, asssigning, reviewing, and evaluating work.
  • Skills in following verbal and written communication in development of in service training, reports and instruction.
  • Skills in safely transporting and operating a variety of heavy equipment, materials, and supplies.

  • High School Diploma or GED; and two (2) years of general office, public contact or related experiences; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the capabilites to preform the described duties.

  • Knowledge of computer software, word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Knowledge of the operation and maintianance of an camera equipment related to mircofilm storage.

EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A High School Diploma or GED; and two (2) years of experience in mail room, delivery or general clerial experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the capabilites to preform the described duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  

  • Knowledge of mailroom equipment (e.g. post scales, money order machine, and computer).
  • Knowledge of U.S. Postal Service Zip System.
  • Knowledge of applicable Navajo Nation, Federal, State and Local Law, Statues, Rules, Regulation, Policies and Procedures.
  • Knowledge of Postal report forms/ PO Box Application (PS 3854; PS 1412; PS 1093) 
  • Knowledge of the location of offices within assigned delivery area.
  • Knowledge of sources of supplies & price trends related to the various grade & qualities of a variety of material, supplies & equipment
  • Skills in following oral, verbal and written directions
  • Skills in operating mailroom equipment.
  • Skills in establishing cooperative work relationships with those contacted in the course of work & maintaining effective working relationships.

  • Able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
